A diverse Upper Midwesternlandlocked state, North Dakota is acclaimed for its wide-ranging flatlands dominated by rolling prairies, badlands, farmlands, grassland plains, and temperate savanna. Boasting a strong heritage shaped by the miscellaneous Native American tribes who inhabited the region for thousands of years and the earnestness of the American pioneers, the Peace Garden State amazingly blends the retro charm with the friendly hospitality of the residents. Notwithstanding the fact that the state capital, Bismarck, and Fargo – the biggest city account for almost one-fifth of North Dakota’s entire populace, the Roughrider State is not frequented much by vacationers compared to its neighboring states. The countless charming small towns sprinkled all over the Flickertail State are waiting to captivate the hearts of holidayers who wish to spend quality time on their next vacation to this ‘Heaven on Earth.’

The Frontier Village, located in the town’s southeastern end, features umpteen restored ancient structures, a museum filled with native history exhibits, and an American bison statue – believed to be the ‘World’s Largest Buffalo Monument.’ The Jamestown Reservoir at the town’s northern extremity offers abundant water-based recreation, while other attractions like the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame, Jamestown Arts Center, Jamestown Civic Center, National Buffalo Museum, and two world-class disc golf courses are not to be missed.

This past Sunday, the Cornerstone New Life Church welcomed both members and non-members to a powerful service led by its esteemed founder, Bishop Olukayode Micheal Adesua. The atmosphere was charged with positivity as congregants gathered to partake in a message centered on the theme “Fear Not.”
Bishop Adesua opened the service with a warm welcome, encouraging attendees to embrace the spirit of community and faith. He emphasized the importance of self-reflection, stating, “Knowing your usefulness, make yourself holy,” and questioned, “Are you accepted by God?” Drawing from Romans 12:1-2, he urged the congregation to see themselves as living sacrifices dedicated to fulfilling God’s will.
“You are a grassroots,” Bishop Adesua continued, urging everyone to stay on the right path. “Use yourself as a living sacrifice, holy to fulfill God’s will in your life.” He highlighted the significance of personal righteousness, reminding the congregation that unanswered prayers could often trace back to one’s own unrighteousness. “Don’t join the counsel of the wicked and the ungodly. Follow the word of God. Convert yourself to a new leaf—redemption. Seek God’s steadfast love and become righteous,” he instructed.
In a poignant moment, the Bishop elaborated on the concept of the “Cloud of Witness,” understood as the Holy Spirit. This concept represents the examples of faith embodied by figures from the Bible such as Abraham, Enoch, and Noah. Referencing Hebrews 11:4-19, he stated, “You shall have Christ. Put your doing unto God, and it shall be fulfilled. Therefore, be patient in all your doing.” He reminded the congregation, “God is the author and the finisher of our faith,” stressing the power of patience and perseverance.
Bishop Adesua also addressed the emotional resonance of familial loss, stating, “Christ resurrected, but your earthly father cannot resurrect. You should only remember the good memories of your earthly father.” He encouraged the congregation to look to the Cloud of Witness as models of faith, emphasizing, “Through faith, Enoch’s situation was reversed.”
As the sermon drew to a close, Bishop Adesua prayed for those gathered and offering heartfelt blessings .
