The Agbarijo Igbumi Iyun Lagbaaye National Council rejoices with Christians in the globes especially Members, Leaders, Yoruba Christian and all traditional rulers on the occasion of this year’s Easter Celebration.

In a Press Statement signed by the Global President, HRM OBA DR PROPHET SOLOMON RUNSEWE, The Apesin-Ola of Aje-Ekun Land, Adegbite, The Council of Elders, BOTs, Chiefs and the National Council urges Christians to use Easter Celebration marking the end of the 40 day lengthen season commemorating the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert and enduring temptation by Satan, to reflect on the ups and downs of life.

The Organisation also enjoins our Christian brothers and sisters all to learn from the love, humility and endurance displayed by Jesus Christ for the sake of mankind during his trial, humiliation and crucifixion.

The Organisation emphasizes the need for Christians to use this Easter Period to pray for our Nation Leaders this year, while hardship socio-economic situation in the country should be prayed as well.

IGBIMO also appeals to Christians to continue to pray for peace and economic prosperity of the state, stressing that spirit of Easter reminds us that with faith and patience, we can overcome any obstacle.
